This season, in the competition, we hope to qualify for the World Championship. We are aiming high, as we have qualified for the World Championship in the Middle School Division, and we are hoping to do it again, except in the High School Division. In our first year in the HS division, we were able to quality for the state championship, and we believe we can qualify for worlds this year. However, our goals are not limited to just competing. We hope to inspire other STEM students through our outreach in robotics. We hope that others will be inspired to go into STEM, learn more, and be more involved. Lastly, the most important goal for us, is to have fun and enjoy every moment.
We all have various experience in VEX, however we are all very experience in robotics and our specific field. We have won awards in different robotics competitions other than VEX, such as FTC and FRC, so we plan on using this experience greatly in our upcoming season. On top of this, we have all done various outreach in our community. For example, we have mentored the elemetary robotics team throughout their season. In addition to this, we taught other elemtary and younger middle school students the basiscs of VEX hardware and software, so they can hopefully join the VEX competition some day. On top of this we have gone to public fairs to spread awareness to STEM to spark interest in these young students, which we hope can help them in their future. We hope we have made a big difference in their learning, and will continue to do so.
In the future we hope to continue to build off our past success in and out of the compeition. We plan on bringing home trophies, awards, and qualifications home for the forseeable future, but also to pursue out community outreach efforts. We hope to continue to help out our surrounding comminty and inspire those around us to learn more about STEM, and participate more in their community.
We, The VEX Robotics Team Gamma 53343a are proud to announce our second season in the High School VEX Robotics Competition Division! Our private robotics team aims to inspire young people throughout a year-long STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) program as well as qualify for Worlds with our experience and success in the past. Please go to our VEX tab for more info on VEX.
Corporate and community sponsors are the backbone of all VEX teams. Without community support, this program would not be able to sustain itself. Community support through donations, fundraisers, and grants provides local teams, like us, with numerous opportunities. The VEX Robotics program can, in fact, give students access to internships, scholarships, and technical knowledge needed to become STEM leaders of tomorrow. We aim to
provide this experience to everyone, no matter what financial background they come from.
How can you and/or your business become involved?
Well, there are many ways: all of which are rewarding to your business as well as us. Please contact us for a list of ways you can support team 53343A, Gamma, and how you will benifit. VEX Robotics is a worldwide organization that allows middle and high school level students to compete and display their skills in the STEM field. It also promotes the importance of soft skills through yearly engineering challenges requiring teams to design a modern-sized robot. These robots then compete in regular tournaments throughout the fall, winter, and spring to qualify for their state tournaments, and then hopefully to Worlds. State tournaments include the best robots in the state and those who win move on to Worlds. Through this program, students learn skills they can use in their future careers and jobs.
